This section of the trail passes through six historic watermill sites and is probably the most popular of all the routes within the Rivelin Valley. Look out for the Sleeping Giant within the Children’s Playground, and the Rivelin Chair sculpture on a bend in the river.  The trail also crosses Roscoe Bridge, which was built in the early 19 th century and is Grade II listed.
